A Landgraviate, named after a Landgraf, acts as an immediate jurisdiction of the Holy Roman Empire in otherwise fractured counties. The Landgrave is a direct representative of the law of the Holy Roman Empire Leader Title in the lands of the Landgraviate, and the title is comparable to a Duke in power and responsibilities.
