The Kèlè-Koun
The Kèlè-Koun, or 'war-head', are the commanders of infantry fighting for Empire, called the Kèlè-Bolo, or 'war-arm'. Unlike the Ton-Tigi, the feudal lords of Mali, the Kèlè-Koun are not necessarily part of the Nobility. The Kèlè-Koun have jonow, 'slaves', serving as carriers of the weapons and equipment until their inclusion in the Sofa battalions.
