Information is key to gaining the advantage in any situation. To that effect, we have long since used spies and infiltrators to gather reconnaissance. These Shinobi no Mono are usually from the samurai class, although they can also be recruited from the local peasant population, and are sent into enemy territory, where they blend in and establish networks of informants.
