Frankokratia
The original division of the Byzantine Empire in 1204 remains our legal foundation, granting us permanent, divinely sanctioned claims on the remnants of the Greek world. We do not view ourselves as conquerors, but as the rightful heirs to the fiefs assigned to our ancestors by the Latin Emperor and the Venetian Doge.
