The city of Capital was thrown into confusion by the sudden death of the Ruler Title without a respected adult Heir Title. Influential citizens believed that the old republic that our country once had could be restored. Learned bodies, such as the College of Jurisprudence in Pavia, painted the days of the old republic as a golden age. The merchants, viewing the prosperity of other Italian republics, were behind the idea.
A proposal for declaring a republic was thus set, the claimants to the throne to be driven out of the city. The new republic would be named the Golden Ambrosian Republic, named after the 4th century Bishop of Milan.
On the other hand, we could invite some other Country allied to us to take us under their wing and rule us together with their own country.
