Baltic
The Baltic peoples are those living on the southeastern coast of the Baltic Sea. Originally mainly from the same branch that gave rise to the Slavic peoples, they were already differentiated by the times of the Roman Empire. Over the centuries, interaction with different Germanic peoples, as well as groups of Slavs, created a unique identity. Not only the original Baltic-speaking peoples, still keeping their original religion, but also the many groups of Christian German peoples living on those shores can now be called Baltic.
