As the great Mediterranean wars intensify, the Travunjan state will leverage its unique relationship with the Jewish and Ragusan merchant families (the Zudiosca) to build a sophisticated espionage ring. Because these traders move freely between the mountain interior and the Adriatic ports, they provide the Travunjan commanders with real-time troop movements of foreign armies. This 'Invisible Guard' will allow the local army to always strike at the enemy's weakest point, effectively nullifying the numbers of any invading power.
