Having our court members serve a position for life carries the inherent risk of them amassing undue power and influence. They also tend to dedicate less effort to their tasks, due to being given excessive responsibilities. To avoid this messiness, we can establish a system of temporary assignments. That way, officials are assigned to the positions they are best qualified for, but can be reassigned with ease should they grow too complacent in their roles.
