Lithuanian Renaissance
Lithuania experienced a Renaissance in the late 15th and early 16th centuries. Inspired by the ideas of the Reformation and influenced by the Italian Renaissance, there was a prolific flourishing of education, arts, architecture, and literature during this era. This period will also see the creation of a written form of Lithuanian and, subsequently, the first works of Lithuanian literature.
