Warfare has always been the domain of the mighty samurai. Recent developments, however, have proved the need for more substantial reinforcements, and thus our battlefields now also include peasant troops. These ashigaru will not be just common rabble, however, as their rigorous training and ample battle experience makes them formidable fighters, on equal footing with the samurai.
