The ancient March of Tuscany endured for centuries, but after the death of their ruler Matilda of Canossa in 1115, it eventually faded away. Its former territory was carved up and claimed by various ascendant urban communes, and the memory of a united Tuscany faded into darkness. But circumstances have changed, and it may now be time to reunite our dispersed lands and people under one rule again.
