Founded by Mithridates I Ktistes (meaning the Builder), Pontus became a vibrant and wealthy crossroads between Persian and Anatolian roots, blended with Hellenistic influences. Strategically positioned between easily defensible mountainous terrain and seafaring Greek coastal communities, the Kingdom prospered, including important cities such as Amaseia and Sinope. At the height of its power, the realm stretched from the depths of Cappadocia to the coasts of Crimea. By reasserting such a glorious legacy, we affirm our right to rule these lands in an undisputed manner.
