After fleeing from Scotland following the Battle of Halidon Hill in 1333, the French court granted David asylum in France. While the intention was for David to be safe until the conflict ended in Scotland, he has instead returned with his remaining advisors despite the conflict remaining ongoing. It appears the court of France is no longer interested in Scottish affairs.
