The rise of absolutism and the concept of the state and its people are shaping how our current population thinks. Previously, such matters would not be openly considered, as religion primarily shaped the culture. But now, with great thinkers coming from the lower strata, many within our educational institutions have been asking one question: What is Greek?
Some people claim that the diglossia present in the language of Country preserves a divide, wherein the bureaucrats and Nobility are separate in almost every way from the Commoners due to having entirely different manners and speaking different dialects.
This situation has slowly radicalized many, who have been calling for a change to mend this division and truly unify the nation.
