Magyar

The Magyar, or Hungarians, are a group of people originating in the area of the Southern Urals that moved gradually westwards pushed by (and getting influence from) other peoples of the steppes, like the Huns, Avars, Bulgars, and Turks, until they settled in the Carpathian Basin after the fall of the Avar Khaganate. This makes them quite different from the rest of their European neighbors, which only contributes to their sense of unity.
