To ensure the loyalty of the border nobility and create a professional officer corps, the Tsars of Vidin will establish a local knightly order modeled after the Western European Societas Draconistrarum. Members of this order will be granted estates along the Timok and Danube rivers in exchange for maintaining a state of perpetual readiness and providing a heavy cavalry core for the Tsardom's defense. This institution will hopefully bridge the gap between the old Bulgarian Boyar traditions and the chivalric standards of the West, fostering a high level of military discipline and personal loyalty to the crown and prevent internal fragmentation.
