While still a part of Georgia, Samtskhe operates with substantial independence. This privileged position requires constant diplomatic awareness and a policy of active diplomacy, ensuring that we always have a direct channel to those in power. We do all this while actively engaging in our internal politics, meddling with the succession and forging dynastic alliances as best benefits us. The survival of our relatively small state depends on upholding these diplomatic traditions. Let it never be said that we have done too little or acted without sufficient wisdom!
