The abolition of Romuva, a faith embraced by our ancestors, has shaken the very foundations of Lithuanian society. Yet, in order to secure a brighter future, we have chosen the path of Orthodoxy and fully celebrate our new identity. But if we are to be successful in that, the religious authorities of our newfound Orthodox faith must maintain autonomy from foreign patriarchates in order to avoid external interference.
