Our people have lived since time immemorial in the shadow of very mountains that sustain the Heavens. The high passes, the steep ridgelines, the deep-cut river valleys — these are not obstacles to us but the very fabric of our homeland. Even the air itself is different than that of the lowlands, and no army from the plains can expect to move through these lands as our soldiers do.
