Mahābhārata
One of the two major Smṛti texts together with the Rāmāyaṇa, the Mahābhārata is an epic of ancient India. It is the longest epic poem ever written, about ten times bigger than the Greek Iliad and Odyssey combined, and it narrates the story of a dynastic struggle for the throne of the ancient Indian kingdom of Kuru culminating in the Kurukshetra War, also called Mahābhārata War. The story ends with the death of Kṛṣṇa and the end of his dynasty.
