Gujarati Lipi
The Gujarati Lipi is a new script and writing system developed by mercantile interests. Also known as the saraphi (bankers), vaniasai (merchants), or mahajani (traders) script due to its association with commerce, its use has rapidly become widespread throughout Gujarat, Kutch, and Sindh for writing regional languages and studying Sanskrit. The Zoroastrianism community has also adopted it as a writing system for Avestan. This common writing system unites diverse communities, facilitating both practical communication and a common identity.
