Banū Naṣr
We descend from the Banū l-Ḫazraj tribe and come from the lineage of Saʿd ibn ʿUbāda, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad. The founder of our dynasty, Muhammad I, controlled a territory that included Granada, Jaén, Almería, and Málaga, though some of those lands fell to the Christian forces. Since then, we have been resisting their advances with tenacity, and we will continue doing so with the strength of our ancestors.
