Edicts of Ashoka
A legal code published by Emperor Ashoka 'the Great' in the 3rd century BCE, these edicts include strictures promoting for Buddhism. Although this code is from many centuries ago, it still deserves respect and reverence from any member of the Buddhist faithful.
