The rulers of Cephalonia and Zante have developed a long tradition of raiding any enemy vessel foolish enough to sail without adequate protection through the Ionian approaches. These island-based raids amass considerable wealth through plunder and ransom while simultaneously weakening our enemies' naval logistics in the western Aegean, thereby allowing the tiny county to punch far above its weight and preserve its independence.
