Christianity undoubtedly originated inside the cradle of the Roman Empire, and many of its branches have been content to stay in that region. Miaphysitism, however, was on the edges of the Empire after being denounced by the Chalcedonians, and has spread far beyond its birthplace, bringing the light of God to the most remote places.
