Because Argos is the most neutral and secure port in the Peloponnese, it has become the preferred meeting ground for the ambassadors of the Latin states. We have established a permanent 'Diplomatic Quarter' where treaties are negotiated and alliances are forged between the Frankish lords and the Great Powers. This role as a regional mediator grants us an international influence that protects us from being annexed by our larger neighbors.
