Direct Imperial Free City

The Direct Imperial Free City is a special subject bound to the Emperor allowed by the Direct Imperial Cities Policy. This status is active as long as the subject has the status of Free Imperial City of the Holy Roman Empire. They are the same as a normal Imperial Free City, but their autonomy is now vastly reduced, and thus they are can now be annexed, at a greater speed than a normal Vassal.
