Imāmīya
Also called 'Twelvers', Imāmīya believes that 'Alī, the successor of Muḥammad, was followed by twelve infallible Imām chosen by divine decree. The last Imām, al-Mahdī, is expected to return as the savior of mankind, finally enforcing justice and peace in the world. They mainly follow Ja'farī jurisprudence.
