Bodh Gayā
The Mahābodhi Mahāvihāra marks the spot where Siddhartha Gautama attained enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree. Originally built by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BC, it has undergone several restorations over time. Its distinctive brick structure is one of the earliest examples of Buddhist temple architecture in India.
