While Wien does not lack in beautiful buildings for Target Ruler to spent time in, it is lacking in a crowning piece. As luck would have it, an old Jagdschloss of our dynasty, situated outside of Wien, and its surrounding area are well suited for an expansive palace and its gardens. 1450historical_info = flavor_hab.25.historical_info Initially a small residence for the Austrian monarchs built in 1643, Schönbrunn was nearly totally destroyed during the second siege of Vienna in 1683 by Ottoman troops. The building was initially reconstructed, but was completely planned anew in 1740, when designated heiress Maria Theresia selected it as the main summer residence for the Habsburg dynasty. Planned by architects Nikolaus von Pacassi and Johann Ferdinand Hetzendorf von Hohenberg, construction of the main building and park finished in 1749.
