A series of catastrophic weather events has struck Target Province, causing widespread devastation and suffering. That alone is a calamity, but the downpour has reached the Grand Canal, causing it to fill up and overflow. This unprecedented event has hampered the functioning of the canal, in turn severing the link between the south and the north.
Though this damage can theoretically be repaired, it would come at a significant cost which we cannot possibly bear in our current state. But can Country survive without the Grand Canal?
