Maẓālim Courts
Parallel to the authority and existence of religio-judicial administration and Sharī'a courts, the Maẓālim operate secularly for the affairs of the unbelievers. Their sessions can take place at the Palace of Justice (dār al-'adl) or ceremonial hall within the citadel walls (īwan kabīr).
