Sotho-Tswana

The Sotho-Tswana peoples of the southern African highveld speak the closely related Sotho and Tswana languages and share a common heritage of nucleated village life, cattle-based wealth, and sophisticated iron-working traditions. Their large towns on the dry plateau interior were among the most populous settlements in pre-colonial southern Africa.
