Permic
The Permic peoples of the Ural Mountains region speak languages of the Permic branch of the Uralic family, closely related to Finnish and Estonian. The Komi and Udmurt peoples have long inhabited the forests between the Volga and the Urals, trading furs with their Slavic and Tatar neighbors.
