Nguni

The Nguni peoples of southeastern Africa speak a cluster of closely related Bantu languages distinguished by their rich system of click consonants borrowed from neighboring Khoisan peoples. Organized around cattle wealth, age-grade systems, and powerful chieftaincies, the Nguni gave rise to the great Zulu and Xhosa nations that dominated the eastern coast of southern Africa.
