Hmong-Mien

The Hmong-Mien peoples inhabit the highlands of southern China and Southeast Asia, speaking languages of the independent Hmong-Mien family unrelated to any of their neighbors. Known for their vibrant textile traditions and fierce independence, they have historically resisted assimilation into the lowland empires surrounding them.
