Our ruler is the king of all kings; the heir to the pedigree of the kings of Aksum along with that of the first ruler, Menelik I, the son of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. All of our kings are descended from the Solomon dynasty, and the line of inheritance need not be from father to son.
