Communities of faithful of the Target Io school have started growing into small towns around major Buddhism temples in the Flavor Rank. These settlements, called Jinaichō or Jinaimachi due to them being inside the Temple grounds, are not only influential in a spiritual sense, but they also muster their own defense forces composed of anything from low-level landholders called Jizamurai, to armed farmers and monks. These communes, with their form of self-government, represent a threat to the authority of the Flavor Rank controlling the surrounding lands. One such commune has sprung up around a Temple in Target Location, and while we might be able to benefit from their support, this potent mix of religious fervor, weapons, and autonomy may pose a threat to the stability of our Flavor Rank.
