Ribeira das Naus
Despite the tradition of building ships in the Tercenas area in Lisbon, we have lacked a proper shipyard as the settlement deserves. Thanks to the desire of our Target Character to build the Paço da Ribeira palace in the area where the old shipyard was, we can now erect a proper shipyard in another area.
This new area has been named Ribeira das Naus by those working on building it and it looks like the name is sticking. The new shipyards will definitely help us build ships in an industrial way, enlarging our navy as needed in little time.

The establishment of new tercenas, known as 'Ribeira das Naus' to the west of the royal palace, played a crucial role in building ships for the Portuguese Discoveries. These shipyards, the largest in the Portuguese Empire, served as a model for overseas establishments, notably in Goa and Cochin.
