Encroached Posadniks Offices
Though past reforms to the Posadnik were aimed to reduce the office's power being controlled by one individual, they have largely had the inverse effect of causing the offices to fall under the control of the most powerful Nobility families. Though an elected position, these offices for quite some time now have been subsequently held by members of the same Nobility family.
Seeing the Posadnik as a position that has become encroached, many within the Commoners and Burghers have called for the repealing of past reforms in hopes of curtailing Nobility power. However, such a repeal of the offices will no doubt bring the wrath of the Nobility families.
