Demands for a New Frauenkirche
The citizens of Dresden, while generally loyal subjects, have been agitated lately. They mostly follow a different faith than ours and they are demanding to have their own temple to practice their religion as they feel they should.
To do so, they are willing to demolish the Frauenkirche church and rebuilt it again in their style. While they are willing to pay for it, we suspect that it will incur in new expenses, not to talk about the setting of a precedence that could become problematic for us.

However, with the advent of the Reformation, it transformed into a Protestant church. The original Frauenkirche was demolished in 1727, making way for a grander replacement with increased capacity. The citizens took charge of rebuilding it as a Lutheran parish church, receiving unexpected support from Saxony's Prince-elector, Frederick August I, who had converted to Catholicism to become the King of Poland. His backing not only enhanced Dresden's skyline with an impressive cupola but also reassured the people of Saxony that they would not be coerced into the principle of cuius regio, eius religio.
