Canals to Berlin Province
While the Spree River is well connected towards the west, with shipping routes to the Havel and Elbe Rivers, our country's transport routes also rely heavily on the Oder River to the east. With our lack of control over the Oder Estuary in Stettin, our Trade Network is at the mercy of the owners of Stettin and the tolls they can impose on our Burghers. If we were able to connect the Oder and Spree Rivers with a Canal, we could act more independently from the current political situation and offer more options to our Burghers
