A Useful Alliance?
It has been a while already since Kublai adopted the Buddhist religion and sought to spread it among his/her people. Over the years, however, many have returned to the old ways of Religion. Target Ruler has always been fascinated by the legacy of the likes of the Great Khān and the empires they once created in the name of that religion. As word reached us of a dynamic and growing Tibetan monastic order, it was therefore clear to him/her that this needed to be investigated.
The emissary of the Lama now stands before us and has explained that they interpret that Target Ruler is a reincarnation of Kublai. The order is also prepared to support our rule if we allow them to spread their sect in all the lands we control.
