ロラード派
ジョン・ウィクリフを指導者としたロラード派は改革運動であり、万人祭司を唱え、救いには洗礼や告白などの秘跡が必要であるという考えを否定した。教義では聖書を通じて神と直接つながることができると強調し、聖書を現地語に翻訳した。その結果、ロラード派の神学が庶民にとって理解しやすいものとなり、教会改革を求める初期の声が高まった。
