'The criminal shall be decapitated; this will be done solely by means of a simple mechanism', such were the words of Target Character, who has proposed the idea of a swift and as pain-free as possible execution method. Though he/she was never directly involved in the design or construction of the device, its name 'guillotine' is derived from the physician himself/herself. Now it has become a symbol of the Revolution itself as its enemies are executed via the guillotine en masse.

At first, its name was the louisette, but was renamed into the guillotine derived from Joseph-Ignace Guillotin who proposed the idea of a new, swift execution method.
