As of late, merchants, envoys, and diplomats alike have begun to rely heavily on coded letters and encrypted correspondence, especially since our interests stretch across the Mediterranean. Some within the Court Title now propose the formal creation of a state-run cryptographic office. The Cipher Secretary would professionalize this growing art in order to protect our interests and secure the lifeblood of the intelligence of the Flavor Rank.
