Fortezza di Sant'Andrea
The fort of Sant'Andrea was constructed in 1545 to guard the main entrance to Country from the Adriatic Sea. The fort was designed by the famous architect Michiel Sanmicheli. He was probably the only Italian architect in the century with the opportunity to see Greek architecture, as he traveled around the Greek possessions of the Country Adjective Flavor Rank. The fortress stood as protection for Country for over three hundred years.
