They have a treaty proposal that would confirm our current borders and give our pilgrims safe journey to their holy sites, but in return, we will have to make our Country Adjective preachers stop their ritual cursing of Aisha, Sahaba, and the three first Rashidun caliphs, whom the Sunni hold in high esteem. With all the bad blood between us, can we really trust them?

77historical_info = flavor_tur.2.historical_info The Treaty of Zuhab, also knowns as the Treaty of Qasr-e Shirin, was signed between the Ottoman Empire and Persia in 1639, and established borders that have changed little to this day. Hostilities between the two great empires decreased remarkably following the treaty as their relations steadily improved, but the border disputes did not disappear entirely, and in 1722, war broke out again. However, the treaty was dusted off and renewed in 1747.
