1896historical_info = flavor_plc.2001.historical_info The Livonian War was a conflict between the Tsardom of Russia and a coalition of Poland-Lithuania, Sweden, and Denmark that lasted from 1558 to 1583. The spark to this conflict was the Russian meddling in Livonia and it is them that, over the course of the 25 years, tried to claim Livonia for themselves. However, in the end, the coalition forces were triumphant and the Terra Mariana was divided between Danish Ösel, Swedish Estonia, and the Polish-Lithuanian Duchy of Courland-Semigalia with its counterpart in Livonia.
