The Silk Production of Lucca
Silk is regarded as one of the rarest resources in Europe, and is thus seen by many Nobility as the finest material for clothing. Lucca is already home to both silkworms and a fledgling Silk industry, though production has yet to meet its full potential. Both the Nobility and Burghers agree that investment in this good will allow us to expand our Fine Cloth production, eclipsing any in Italy who may try and compete with us.
